AGA Awards Recognize Outstanding Safety Achievements

May 7, 2025

WASHINGTON - The American Gas Association today presented a slate of awards recognizing outstanding achievements in advancing safety on behalf of the industry at the recent AGA Operations Conference, the natural gas industry's largest annual gathering of utilities, distribution and transmission operators.

"Safety is our top priority as an industry," said AGA Senior Director Safety, Operations, Engineering and Security Manson Seto. "That doesn't just apply to the energy our member companies provide to their customers - it also means getting natural gas utility workers safely home to their families at the end of their shifts. Today's awards exist to highlight those member companies that have gone above and beyond in advancing employee safety, preventing serious injuries and fatalities and taking proactive action to create a culture of safety."

Awards were given to companies of all sizes and company types, and are based on the Days Away, Restricted or Transferred (DART) rate, which measures job-impacting injuries in the natural gas utility workforce in combination with the implementation of bleeding-edge industry best safety practices.
