Marion County will host the inaugural Veterans Hall of Fame ceremony this evening, recognizing outstanding local veterans for their service, leadership, and lasting contributions to the community.
The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion, 2228 NE Jacksonville Road, Ocala.
Presented in partnership with Veterans Helping Veterans, Inc., this first-of-its-kind event will honor veterans not only for their military service, but also for their continued impact through civic engagement, leadership, and public service within Marion County.
The Marion County Veterans Hall of Fame was established to recognize the more than 45,000 veterans who call the community home and to preserve their stories and contributions for future generations.
The evening will feature a formal induction ceremony, recognition of this year's honorees, and a tribute to the values of service and sacrifice that define Marion County's veteran community. The event is expected to bring together local leaders, veterans' organizations, families, and residents for a meaningful and historic celebration.
This is a sold-out event. Media representatives are welcome to attend; however, credentials will be required for admission.
