06 March 2026On March 6, 2026, at the initiative of the Belarusian side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
In connection with the incident in Nakhchivan, the Belarusian Foreign Minister expressed concern about the escalation in the Middle East, noting the high risks of further expansion of the conflict and the involvement of third countries in it. He expressed sincere support for the leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the friendly Azerbaijani people.
The head of Azerbaijan's foreign ministry, in turn, provided information on developments in the region, the consequences of the drone attack and the actions being taken by Azerbaijan.
The parties noted the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region, as well as the role of diplomatic levers in settling issues.
