Update: Further Support for Los Angeles Relief and Recovery Efforts

As of Friday afternoon, historic wildfires have devastated Los Angeles County neighborhoods and forced more than 150,000 people to evacuate. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these fires. While no single action can solve everything, too many are now without food, transportation, or basic necessities-and we're committed to helping where we can.

Earlier this week, we announced relief efforts for local restaurants and Dashers impacted by these fires, along with donations to those who've been displaced and the first responders on the front lines. We also know that there is so much more to be done to support the community.

That's why we're announcing two additional efforts to help with recovery and relief efforts: waiving our fees on orders placed in Los Angeles County and donating $1 to World Central Kitchen for every order placed in the area, up to $1 million.

Waiving Our Fees in Los Angeles County

By waiving our fees on all orders - from local restaurants, to groceries and essentials like baby food, pet supplies, and toiletries - we hope that we can help getting through this next chapter even a fraction easier. Please note that deliveries may be delayed as we prioritize Dasher safety, and operations remain suspended in areas with current evacuation mandates or where it is unsafe to deliver.

Donating Up to $1 Million to World Central Kitchen

World Central Kitchen has mobilized their relief teams across Los Angeles County to provide hot meals to first responders and families impacted by the wildfires. Starting immediately, DoorDash will donate $1 to World Central Kitchen for every order placed in Los Angeles County - up to $1 million total. Every donation will go towards supporting World Central Kitchen and their vital efforts during unimaginable tragedies, like the wildfires.

*Currently does not apply to some orders.
