AUC Chairperson received Letters of Credence of Ambassador of Mission of Japan

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf received the Letters of Credence of H.E. Mr. Sekiguchi Noboru, Ambassador of the Mission of Japan to the African Union.

The Chairperson and Ambassador Sekiguchi reaffirmed the long-standing and trusted partnership between the African Union and Japan, recalled the successful co-organization of TICAD 9, and underscored their shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation in support of Africa's development priorities, including Agenda 2063, in an evolving global context.

They exchanged views on advancing AU-Japan cooperation across key areas, including development, trade, health, and people-to-people exchanges.
