Millersburg, Pa. - May 18, 2026. Mid Penn Bank (the "Bank"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. ("Mid Penn") (NASDAQ: MPB), is pleased to announce that Robert "Rob" Fischer has joined the Bank as senior vice president and senior commercial loan manager. Based at the Bank's Wyomissing office, Fischer will support commercial banking growth and oversee commercial lending and business development efforts across the region. He will report to Joseph Butto, first senior vice president and regional president.
Fischer brings nearly three decades of banking experience spanning commercial lending, credit oversight, portfolio management and sales leadership. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and Pennsylvania and New Jersey market leader at Customers Bank, where he was responsible for commercial loan and deposit growth across the Bank's primary market territory and managed commercial sales and credit functions. During his career, Fischer also held senior commercial banking leadership roles with VIST Financial and Susquehanna Bank, as well as earlier positions with Blue Ball National Bank.

Fischer earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Alvernia University. He is also a graduate of the Central Atlantic School of Banking at Dickinson University and the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking at Bucknell University, where he graduated with honors. Fischer has remained active in the community throughout his career, previously served as chairman of the Penn State Berks Regional Advisory Board and has been involved with YMCA Sinking Spring, Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Berks County and the Hawk Mountain Boy Scout Council. He also served for 10 years as an elected councilman for Wernersville Borough.
