We're excited to share that the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) will be upgraded from version 8.9 to version 9.2 in April 2026.

HRMS is an essential tool for all public service employees and managers, as well as military managers who manage public service employees, supporting key human resources (HR) activities such as requesting leave and maintaining personal and employment information.

The Guardian system (the military equivalent of HRMS) will not be impacted by this upgrade.

Why this upgrade is important

In addition to essential technical and backend improvements, the upgrade will improve the overall user experience. For users, the most noticeable change will be the updated look and feel of the system. This will help employees and managers complete transactions more quickly, reduce errors, and spend less time navigating the system.

What can you do to ensure a smooth transition:

  • Validate and update your personal information in the current system before the upgrade.
  • Validate your employee schedule with your manager and ensure it is correct in Phoenix.
  • Participate in the Virtual Kiosk information sessions that will be offered to public service employees and managers, as well as military managers who manage public service employees in February and March. These sessions will provide an opportunity to become familiar with the new interface, explore new features, and ask questions. Stay tuned for more details.

Stay tuned-more tips and guidance on using the upgraded HRMS are coming soon.
