China’s Permanent Representative to the UN and Other International Organizations in Vienna Ambassador Li Song Attends the Spring Festival/Lunar New Year reception for the Year[...]

On 26 January, the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Vienna held a Spring Festival/Lunar New Year reception for the Year of the Horse at the Vienna International Centre (VIC). Over 800 guests attended, including heads of international organizations in Vienna, permanent representatives and diplomats from various countries, and international staff.

In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador Li Song stated that "Every winter has its spring." President Xi Jinping's global governance initiatives put forward China's solutions for building a more just and equitable global governance system. China will always stand on the right side of history, actively support the United Nations and multilateral endeavors in various fields, work hand in hand with all countries to promote world peace and development, and advance the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

The reception was filled with a lively, festive, and harmonious atmosphere. Participants expressed gratitude to China for bringing the warmth of spring to the United Nations, highly commended China's responsible major-country role in safeguarding world peace, promoting common development, and advancing reform of the international governance system, and extended best wishes for a prosperous and successful Year of the Horse to the Chinese people.
