On May 29, 2025, United Way of New York City hosted a compelling virtual panel discussion titled "Universal Basic Income: Building Equity and Economic Security in New York."

The conversation brought together leaders across public policy, nonprofit, and government to explore how Universal Basic Income (UBI) could produce economic stability for our communities.

The virtual panel discussion featured:

- Grace C. Bonilla, Esq., President & CEO of UWNYC
- Nantasha Williams, PhD, NYC Councilmember
- Meghan Lynch, Senior Advisor to NYC Council Speaker Adrienne Adams
- Christopher Wimer, Co-Director at Columbia University's Center on Poverty and Social Policy
- Stephanie Silkowski, Director of Policy and Strategic Initiatives at the Bridge Project
