Sydney, 15th September 2025 - Australia and New Zealand's leading fashion and lifestyle platform, THE ICONIC, has extended its circular fashion offering with the launch of Rescued items. Helping to keep quality pieces circulating and in use for longer, the new shoppable category features both repaired and upcycled pieces, restored and ready for a new life.
The Rescued category includes items that have been identified in THE ICONIC's warehouse with minor imperfections that need some care. At present, faulty items are donated to THE ICONIC's charity partner, Thread Together, returned to brands, sold to resellers or recycled where necessary and possible. With the introduction of the new process, eligible pieces are now intercepted by the warehouse team and sent to Australian startup Revibeto be expertly cleaned and repaired, ready for sale on THE ICONIC at a lower price point. Whilst this initiative has launched in a small pilot phase, there is potential to scale it over time.
Under Rescued, THE ICONIC has also welcomed its first upcycled brand, Re/lax Remade, an Australian label that reworks rare vintage towels into one-of-a-kind hats, accessories and jackets.
The Rescued category is featured within RE-ICONIC®, a new hub for circular solutions designed to help fashion lovers refresh and recirculate their wardrobes. It joins THE ICONIC's existing customer-facing circular fashion solutions, including Pre-Loved as a shoppable category, and Donate and Recycle which collectively aim to address Australia's textile waste challenge and provide customers with a seamless and trustworthy experience.
