The Oklahoma State University Division of Student Affairs hosted its annual Hall of Fame and Awards Ceremony on Sept. 26, honoring outstanding alumni and friends who have made a lasting impact on OSU and the Cowboy family.

Nearly 90 guests gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of six honorees whose leadership, service and dedication reflect the heart of the Student Affairs mission.

Vice President for Student Affairs Brent Marsh opened the morning with welcoming remarks, followed by OSU President Jim Hess' message of appreciation and pride in the continued success of OSU graduates.

"Each of our honorees exemplifies the values that we hold dear at Oklahoma State University - integrity, leadership, service and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others," Marsh said. "Their stories inspire us to continue building a community where students can thrive and leave their own mark on the world."

This year's honorees were:

• Kent Sampson - Distinguished Service Award
  Sampson was recognized for his decades of dedicated service to OSU and his profound influence on generations of students through his leadership within the Division of Student Affairs.
• Darron Lamkin - Rising Star Award
  Lamkin was celebrated for his visionary work as the founder of Class Matters Inc. and his ongoing commitment to empowering young people through education, mentorship and advocacy.
• Claudia Humphreys - Distinguished Alumni Award
  Humphreys was honored for her lifelong contributions to education and her ongoing support of student success at OSU, including her recent involvement with the Career Closet.
• Dana Kuehn - Distinguished Alumni Award
  Justice Kuehn was recognized for her exemplary career in public service and unwavering commitment to justice, leadership and civic engagement.
• Eunice Tarver - Distinguished Alumni Award
  Dr. Tarver was honored for her leadership in higher education and tireless efforts to create equitable access and opportunity for students across Oklahoma.
• Frank Merrick - Distinguished Alumni Award, Legacy of Excellence
  Merrick was posthumously celebrated for his longstanding dedication to OSU, philanthropic spirit and enduring legacy of excellence that continues to shape the university community.

OSU's Division of Student Affairs is comprised of 11 departments that empower students to succeed personally, socially and academically through intentional experiences that promote belonging, engagement and support.
