Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security (FCEM&HS) will pause the weekly warning siren test in Franklin County on Wednesday, April 29 due to the risk of severe weather throughout the day, including heavy rain that could damage the system. According to the FCEM&HS, system checks will continue despite the paused testing to ensure the system is fully functional. Weekly audible tests are scheduled to resume on Wednesday, May 6.
PLEASE NOTE: If the sirens do sound, it means the National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for the area, and residents should take immediate action to seek shelter and stay safe.
