Milan, Italy - April 17, 2025 - Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. (President: Takashi Nagai) is pleased to announce the opening of the "FOREARTH Experience Studio" (hereinafter: "Studio") in Milan, Italy, on April 14 (Monday). This showroom allows visitors to experience textile printing using the environmentally friendly inkjet textile printer, FOREARTH.

The opening ceremony was grandly held with the participation of many guests, including Flora Rabitti, the founder and designer of the Italian fashion brand "Florania," which collaborated during Milan Fashion Week.

FOREARTH is the inkjet textile printer that utilizes environmentally friendly water-based pigment inks while maintaining vibrant colors and the inherent softness of fabrics. It contributes to the realization of sustainable textile printing by balancing environmental considerations with the freedom of design choices.

The location of the Studio in Milan, Italy, is significant as it is known as a hub for numerous fashion brands and is recognized as a center of fashion. Milan hosts globally renowned fashion weeks and design exhibitions, attracting many designers and related companies. It is a region with a high volume of digital textile and serves as a focal point for the latest trends and technologies in Europe.

Visitors to the Studio will have the opportunity to experience the compact FOREARTH printer and textile fabric samples, as well as live demonstrations and print sample creation services, regardless of the installation location. They will be able to appreciate the printer's excellent color reproduction and soft texture, while also experiencing the sustainable technology of FOREARTH, which minimizes water usage to an extreme level.

About the Inkjet Textile Printer "FOREARTH": (More information can be found here.)

Traditionally, the textile and fashion industry has relied on large quantities of water during the dyeing processes, including steaming and washing, leading to significant water pollution issues worldwide. Additionally, the problem of excess inventory resulting in large-scale waste has garnered attention and requires urgent action.

To address these challenges, Kyocera has developed the FOREARTH printer with the following three key features:

1) Water Free Concept
FOREARTH can reduce water usage during the printing process to nearly zero*, eliminating the need for large preprocessing and steaming equipment traditionally required for dyeing. This significantly contributes to reduced energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

2) Creative Free
The printer achieves a soft touch that preserves the fabric's texture, enabling high-definition printing on a wide variety of materials, including cotton, silk, polyester, nylon, and blends.

3) Location Free
With dyeing that does not depend on water resources, FOREARTH can be installed anywhere, contributing to reduced logistics costs and inventory through appropriate location and quantity production.

*FOREARTH completes the entire process through printing and drying, achieving a water-free operation during the printing phase. The printer is designed to minimize water usage for maintenance as well, incorporating a circulation belt cleaning system that filters and reuses the cleaning water for conveyor belts. The water usage per kilogram of fabric has been reduced to 0.02 liters (according to our research in 2022).

Through the sustainable inkjet textile printer "FOREARTH," we aim to contribute to solving the issues of water pollution and CO2 emissions in textile dyeing. Furthermore, we will continue to leverage technology to address various social challenges around the world and strive to create a better future through our innovative endeavors.
