OAS Permanent Council Considers Political Situation in Haiti, Economic Coercive Measures in the Region, and the Secretary General's Administration

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, February 18 at 09:30 EST (14:30 GMT) in the Simón Bolívar Room at the OAS headquarters to discuss, among other topics:

• Developments in the political situation in Haiti
• Progress report on the Secretary General's administration
• The humanitarian consequences of the imposition of economic coercive measures in the different regions of the Hemisphere and their impact on the Inter-American System
• Commemoration of Day of the Women of the Americas: women's economic rights as a key to development
• Conmemoración del vigésimo quinto aniversario de la creación de ParlAmericas
