Friday, August 22, 2025

Emplify Health by Gundersen Friendship Clinic is pleased to welcome Rayan Lungba, MD, MPH, CPH, a board-certified family medicine physician with fellowship training in geriatric medicine. She is now seeing patients of all ages.

Dr. Lungba offers a wide range of services, including preventive care, wellness exams, management of chronic conditions, helping patients safely reduce unnecessary medications when possible, and support for overall healthy aging. She is dedicated to delivering specialized care that addresses the unique, individual needs of each patient.

"I believe in building long-term relationships with my patients," said Dr. Lungba. "My goal is to deliver practical, personalized care that respects each patient's values, goals and quality of life. I want my patients to feel heard, supported and well-informed."

Dr. Lungba completed her residency and fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of South Dakota. She is also nationally certified in public health (CPH).

Dr. Lungba began her medical education overseas before moving to the U.S. for advanced training. Her clinical background spans outpatient and inpatient care, nursing home medicine and emergency services in rural and undeserved communities.

Frank Perez-Guerra, administrator, Emplify Health by Gundersen Friendship Hospital, says, "Dr. Lungba brings valuable experience in rural medicine and specialized training in the health needs of older adults. Her dedication to public health and disease prevention for patients of all ages supports our mission and strengthens the communities we serve."

"My goal is to help patients live longer, healthier and more independent lives by encouraging them to stay active, informed and truly engaged in their care," said Dr. Lungba. "I'm looking forward to becoming a trusted resource for patients and families throughout the region."

Dr. Lungba and her family recently relocated to Sauk County, which is centrally located between her work in Friendship and her husband's plan to attend college in Madison. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines and cultures, and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Lungba is now welcoming new patients of all ages at Emplify Health by Gundersen Friendship Clinic. For more information or to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lungba, call at (608) 339-6350.
