SAVE THE DATE: Albany Township Cross-Jurisdictional Forum
There are ongoing and growing public and environmental health and safety concerns in the more populous unorganized townships in Oxford County, particularly in Albany Township. Many of the problems involve complex issues, and no one entity (county or state agency) provides services or has jurisdiction over all the activities and concerns. Cross-jurisdictional cooperation is needed to sufficiently address the serious enforcement and public health concerns.
What we hope to accomplish:
• Improve public safety and natural resource protection in Albany Township by bringing the various agencies that have jurisdiction in the unorganized townships in Oxford County to the same table
• Confirm jurisdiction, discuss issues, and problem-solve
• Identify points of contact for specific issues
• Create a shared roadmap for going forward that describes how public service groups will work together to solve the most pressing issues - see attached information sheets highlighting identified issues
