Library Director Nicole Terry shared several updates with City Council this week. Oaklynn and Huntley Libke recently completed the Library's 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. They received a Dr. Seuss bag and a new book to celebrate the achievement. Families can register for the program starting at birth, and just one book a day over three years adds up to 1,000. More information is available on the Library's website.
Drop-off for the Spring Book Swap begins Monday. Patrons can bring gently used books to the Library and receive tickets to use during the Book Swap on April 14.
The Library's April Fool's Facebook post-announcing a fictional "Reading Rapids Waterpark"-received plenty of laughs and community engagement. The playful post included laminated books, splashpad storytime, and prescription reading goggles, sparking a fun conversation online.
