The Fort Worth Air Power Council (FWAPC) has appointed Fort Worth City Councilmembers Michael D. Crain (District 3) and Alan Blaylock (District 10) as Honorary Members, strengthening the organization's longstanding partnership with civic leaders in support of North Texas military service members, veterans and their families.
Founded in 1958 to support military personnel, veterans and their families across North Texas, the FWAPC works alongside military leadership, community organizations and local governments to promote initiatives that honor service, enhance quality of life and build enduring ties between the community and the Armed Forces. Through their continued partnership with the Airpower Foundation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the FWAPC continues to advocate.
The addition of Councilmembers Crain and Blaylock as Honorary Members reflects FWAPC's commitment to deepening its engagement with the City of Fort Worth and its elected leadership.
"I am deeply honored to join the Fort Worth Air Power Council as an Honorary Member and to stand with an organization that has long championed our military, veterans and their families in North Texas," said Councilmember Crain. "Fort Worth's identity is inseparable from our proud military heritage, and I look forward to working with FWAPC and Airpower Foundation to ensure we continue to support those who serve and strengthen the bonds between our city and the men and women in uniform."
Councilmember Alan Blaylock echoed that sentiment. "Fort Worth has a long and distinguished history of standing with our military, and the Fort Worth Air Power Council is at the heart of that tradition," he said. "As an Honorary Member, I am grateful for the opportunity to help advance FWAPC's mission and to collaborate on initiatives that honor service, support military families and keep Fort Worth a national model for community-military partnerships."

By engaging City leadership through honorary board roles, the Council aims to expand collaboration on policy, community engagement and resources that directly benefit military families in the Fort Worth.
