Ohio Department of Insurance Hosts Educational Forum for Interns

The Ohio Department of Insurance held an educational forum on July 15 for almost 50 college interns from insurance companies and agencies across the state. The event aimed to introduce students to Ohio's insurance industry, the department's regulatory role, and career opportunities.

Workforce development is a priority for Governor Mike DeWine and Director Judith L. French. Speaking on their shared commitment, Director French emphasized the growing demand for insurance professionals in Ohio, reflected on her personal journey, and highlighted the value of public service.

The forum included presentations from various department divisions, offering insights into their functions and career paths. Students also toured the Ohio Statehouse to gain a better understanding of government and public service.
