Volunteers Needed for the 39th Annual Broome County Riverbank Cleanup

(BINGHAMTON, NY) - The Broome County Environmental Management Council (EMC) in

cooperation with the Broome-Tioga Stormwater Coalition once again invites community groups,

organizations and individuals to participate in the annual Broome County Riverbank Cleanup.

The Broome County Riverbank Cleanup is an opportunity to help keep our waterways

beautiful. Over the years, volunteers have helped collect several tons of trash and debris from

County waterways.

The 39th Annual Riverbank Cleanup will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from

8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Participants must preregister by October 10th. The EMC will provide your

group with light supplies available, arrange to have your trash picked up, and help you to

select a location.

You can register online at the Environmental Management Council website at https://broomecountyny.gov/emc/riverbankcleanup. Please follow the necessary steps to register you and/or your group. Please send any questions to [email protected] or call (607) 778-8924.
