Los Angeles - September 17, 2025: The Daily Journal has named Crowell & Moring's Agustin D. Orozco to its 2025 Top 100 list. The annual list, which has been presented by the publication since 2004, celebrates California's 100 most influential attorneys.
Orozco serves as managing partner of the firm's Los Angeles office and is a member of the White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement and Government Contracts groups. He previously served as assistant U.S. attorney in the Public Corruption & Civil Rights Section for the Central District of California.
Orozco represents clients in criminal and civil government investigations and enforcement actions. He also represents and counsels clients on matters involving federal, state, and local government contracts. Orozco has litigated civil False Claims Act matters and other government contracts issues, such as disputes, claims, and terminations, as well as suspension and debarment matters. He is also experienced in matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, including conducting investigations abroad and counseling clients on compliance issues.
In his profile , the publication explored how Orozco started on his journey to becoming a white-collar defense attorney after working alongside his father as an aerospace machinist. This work gave him insights into the work he does now for government contractors.
Orozco also described his recent pro bono work on behalf of Erwin Wells, whose conviction was marred by several constitutional defects and spent 33 years in prison before being freed in 2024.
