Senator Marshall Wraps 4 Corners 50 Counties Tour After 2,788 Miles Across Kansas

South East Kansas - U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), wrapped up his 4 Corners, 50 Counties tour in Southeast Kansas, concluding a week that took him 2,788 miles across the state to meet with farmers, small business owners, educators, and community leaders. From wildfire recovery and agriculture policy to workforce training and trade expansion, the tour focused on bringing Kansans' priorities back to Washington.

In Elk County, Senator Marshall participated in a county Farm Bureau legislative coffee alongside state legislators and Kansas Farm Bureau leaders. The Senator highlighted the assistance farmers will receive through the Working Families Tax Cut Act and the Administration's work to expand market opportunities for farmers and ranchers.

In Chautauqua County, Senator Marshall discussed Farm Bill priorities, conservation investments, tax relief, and recent trade wins expanding markets for Kansas grain and ethanol. He emphasized making Food for Peace permanent at the USDA, protecting key tax provisions, strengthening the 45Z biofuels credit for American farmers, and pushing for year-round E15.

In Pittsburg, Senator Marshall met with leadership at Pittsburg State University to discuss workforce development and economic growth. University leaders shared updates on a new advanced manufacturing facility opening in 2027, a downtown College of Business building, and opportunities for the college to better support area entrepreneurs.

In Cherokee County, Senator Marshall provided a Farm Bill and trade update to local Farm Bureau members and recognized Sheriff Brian Henderson for leading a multi-agency operation that resulted in the arrest of five individuals accused of child sex crimes, thanking law enforcement for protecting Kansas communities.

In Girard, Senator Marshall participated in the county conservation district's annual meeting, where he spoke about his work as Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee's Conservation Subcommittee. He discussed his efforts to support Kansas landowners through strong conservation programs and long-term land stewardship efforts. He was also able to meet with local FFA members to kick off National FFA Week.
