The Combat Climate Change Club (C4) is hosting local organic gardening and compost expert Nick Riordan on campus to learn how we can be more sustainable and expand student opportunities in sustainability and environmental science!
Riordan will present to UAA students, staff and faculty about his experience, job with Alaska Community Action on Toxics (ACAT), and advice for UAA residents and nonresidents to get involved in Earth-friendly action (specifically in compost/gardening). His expertise makes him a great addition to the UAA/Anchorage sustainable action network C4 works to build, and to garner hope, understanding, and motivation to take action in our communities.
Those who have questions for Riordan - about compost options for those living at the dorms, techniques for successful gardening in Southcentral Alaska, about finding a career path in sustainable action or as an adjunct professor of geology and Earth sciences for UAA, or regarding anything related - may send t heir questions to [email protected] so Riordan can address them in his presentation ib Oct. 10.
