Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs met with the U.S. Congressional Staffer
On 31 October 2024, Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, met with Mrs. Jennifer Hendrixson White, Senior Professional Staff Members, Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
During the discussion, both sides reiterated shared commitment to advancing Thailand - U.S. alliance and partnership in many areas, including cooperation on trade and investment, human security, education, law enforcement to effectively address transborder crimes, such as narcotics and online scam, as well as public diplomacy to enhance people-to-people ties. Both sides also exchanged views on regional developments, including the situation in Myanmar.
