Maputo, Mozambique - Today, 7th of july, the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) received in their headquarters the visit of Colonel Puneet Attri, the Indian Defence Attaché in Mozambique.
Welcomed by the EUMAM MOZ Mission Force Commander, Brigadier General Luís Barroso, the Indian military entity got to know more about the EUMAM MOZ`s context, objectives and the work it has been developing in the last months with the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM).
This visit opens more opportunities of partnership between the European Union mission and the Indian Military authorities, connecting Europe to cooperate with countries from other regions, in this case a country from Asia, sharing common values, goals and commitments.

EUMAM MOZ is a non-executive mission with a mandate until June 2026 and focuses on the operational cycle and maintenance, while also carrying out specialised training to enable the FADM to be self-sufficient in the fight against insurgency. This European Union mission is currently commanded by Brigadier General Luís Barroso, from the Portuguese Army, and has 83 military personnel from 11 nationalities.
