Carson City, NV February 18, 2026

This morning, Governor Joe Lombardo announced a two-hour delay for the opening of state government offices in Carson, Churchill, Douglas, Lyon, Mineral, Storey, and Washoe counties due to ongoing severe weather. The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) are reporting icy roads and potentially dangerous driving conditions across Northwestern Nevada.
