Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister with the UN Tourism Secretary-General

On June 2, within the framework of the 5th Ministerial Conference on Feminist Foreign Policy, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, the UN Tourism Secretary-General.

In continuation of the meeting convened this March in Andorra, the interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual willingness to further advance the existing cooperation between Armenia and the UN Tourism and deliberated upon the implementation process of the agreements reached.

Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan emphasized the importance of realization of initiatives of the UN Tourism aimed at capacity building in Armenia. The importance of fully leveraging the potential of Armenia in the field of medical tourism was underscored.

Touching upon the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity to be hosted by Armenia, the importance of active engagement of the UN Tourism and the realization of joint initiatives was emphasized.
