On September 26, 2025, Canada Post announced a shutdown due to national labor actions between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. As a result, notices sent through the BNC between October 2, 2025, and October 16, 2025, were not mailed to recipient addresses that include the country name "Canada"; these notices were bypassed. As of October 10, 2025, the prior general strike has been updated to a rotating strike; and as of October 17, 2025, the BNC has resumed mailing to Canada but significant delays are expected.
