As a reminder, The University of Toledo will close for the annual winter break from Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Thursday, Jan. 1, at a time when most departments are slower than usual and to give our faculty and staff time to rest and rejuvenate for the new year.
Access to buildings will be restricted, and facility operations and ground maintenance also will be limited during the break. The University of Toledo Medical Center and its operations will remain open for patients and their guests.
The University will close for the annual winter break from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1, at a time when most departments are slower than usual and to give our faculty and staff time to rest and rejuvenate for the new year.
The end of the semester and winter break also bring new hours and temporary closures of on-campus services through the holidays.
Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Smoothie Lab at Thompson Student Union will be closed through winter break. Paper Lantern and Subway at Thompson Student Union will close for winter break beginning Thursday, Dec. 11, as will Ciao Bella at Ottawa East.
Frogtown Café and Copperhead Jacks at Thompson Student Union will close Friday, Dec. 12, through the break as will the Market at Ottawa East.
Beginning Monday, Dec. 15, the only Main campus dining options are at Thompson Student Union: Frogtown Café, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and True Burger, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both locations will be closed for winter break beginning Wednesday, Dec. 24, and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 5.

The Student Recreation Center will be closed Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13 and 14, for commencement weekend. It will reopen Monday, Dec. 15, through Tuesday, Dec. 23, with special hours: weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and close again for winter break, from Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Thursday, Jan. 1.
The Student Recreation Center will reopen Friday, Jan. 2, with special hours through Sunday, Jan. 11: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekdays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekends.
The Student Recreation Center will return to normal hours on Monday, Jan. 12, with the first day of classes for spring semester.
The Morse Fitness Center on Health Science Campus will have special hours on Wednesday, Dec. 24, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and will be closed for winter break on Thursday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Dec. 26, as well as Thursday, Jan. 1.
Carlson Library will be closed on commencement, Saturday, Dec. 13, as well as Sunday, Dec. 14, and will have reduced hours of operation, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Dec. 15-19, and Monday, Dec. 22, and Tuesday. Dec. 23. The library will be closed the weekend of Dec. 20 and 21.
Carlson Library will close Wednesday, Dec. 24, for winter break and reopen Friday, Jan. 2, with limited hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library will be closed the weekend of Jan. 3 and 4, and reopen with the same limited hours on Monday, Jan. 5, through Friday, Jan. 9. The library will be closed on Saturday, Jan. 10.
Carlson Library will resume normal hours on Sunday, Jan. 11, and will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Main Campus Pharmacy, the pharmacy located in the Comprehensive Care Center on Glendale Avenue and the outpatient pharmacy in the University of Toledo Medical Center Medical Pavilion will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, Thursday, Dec. 25, Friday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 1.
The pharmacies will be open with regular business hours for the rest of winter break.
