Log Cabin Bridge reopens in Harrison County

The Log Cabin Bridge on US 50 West in Harrison County is reopen following repairs to the bridge deck.

The bridge was closed on Friday, May 9, 2025, after a hole was discovered in the bridge deck. The bridge was down to one lane for a rehabilitation project.

Work crews repaired the hole in the bridge deck with quick-setting cement. The bridge reopened to traffic at about 4 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, and detours that were in place during the closure were lifted.

The bridge is located near the Marshville Road intersection.

Brayman Construction was awarded a contract for approximately $5.5 million in January 2025 to replace the bridge superstructure and deck, make repairs to the bridge abutment, and rebuild the bridge approaches. Work is expected to be completed in November 2026.
