The countdown to kickoff has begun.
As Tulane prepares for another football season with championship aspirations, new Head Coach Will Hall is eager to see this year's Green Wave squad take the field. We caught up with Hall to talk about the team's identity, the atmosphere at Yulman Stadium and why fans should be excited for the season ahead.
What excites you most about this team?
Hall: I am really excited about seeing the next "wave" of young guys develop into Tulane stars. Every season brings new leaders and new playmakers, and that's one of the most rewarding parts of coaching. We've built a program where players grow over time, and I think our fans are going to enjoy watching this group take that next step.
What's your message to Tulane fans heading into the 2026 season?
Hall: Bring it every home game at Yulman Stadium. Our fans make a tremendous difference, and we feed off that energy. We want Yulman to be one of the toughest places in the country for opponents to play, and that only happens when Green Wave fans show up, get loud and create a true home-field advantage.
What identity do you want this team to have?
Hall: We want to be explosive and fundamentally sound while playing for each other. The best teams don't just have talent - they play disciplined football, execute the little things and trust each other in every situation. That's the identity we're striving for every day.
Why is this a great time to be a Tulane football fan?
Hall: We win and have a true culture and program in an era when sustained success is harder than ever to achieve. Our fans know they're supporting a team that expects to compete for championships every season, and that's something everyone associated with Tulane can be proud of.
What role do students and alumni play in giving this team an edge?
Hall: Their support is huge, both in the stands and beyond. When students and alumni pack Yulman Stadium, they create an incredible atmosphere for our players. Financial support is also critical in today's college football landscape because it helps us continue building a championship-caliber program. We all play a role in Tulane football's success.
What makes coaching at Tulane special?
Hall: The type of young men who choose Tulane are special. They come here because they want to compete at a high level while earning a world-class education. Elite people surround themselves with other elite people, and that's what makes this place unique. I've watched Tulane help shape these young men into better players, better leaders and better people.
Why should people make it a point to come to Yulman Stadium this season? What makes it one of the best game-day environments in college football?
Hall: We're an established championship contender and have one of the best Group of Six game-day environments in the country. Yulman offers a tremendous atmosphere, our fans are close to the action and there's nothing like seeing Green Wave football in person. We want everyone to be part of what we're building.
