Empire State Development Announces Poly Craft Industries Expands Manufacturing Operations in Orange County

Project Strengthens Hudson Valley's Manufacturing Sector and Supports Job Creation

Empire State Development today announced that Poly Craft Industries has expanded its manufacturing operations in the City of Middletown, Orange County, through the construction of a new 72,000-square-foot facility that has already supported the creation of 54 new local jobs. The approximately $27 million project further strengthens the Hudson Valley's growing manufacturing sector and supports New York State's broader efforts to grow advanced manufacturing and create quality jobs statewide.

Empire State Development President, CEO, and Commissioner Hope Knight said, "Poly Craft Industries' expansion in Middletown reflects New York State's continued momentum in attracting and growing advanced manufacturing companies. By supporting projects like this, we are strengthening regional economies, creating new opportunities for workers, and building a more resilient and competitive manufacturing sector statewide."

This investment aligns with New York State's broader efforts to grow its advanced manufacturing economy, support domestic production, and create quality jobs across the state. Under Governor Kathy Hochul's leadership, New York continues to attract and retain companies that are scaling operations and investing in communities like Middletown.

Poly Craft's expansion represents a total project investment of approximately $27 million and includes the relocation and growth of its operations in the Hudson Valley. The project has already resulted in the hiring of dozens of new employees while bringing additional workers to the region, contributing to the local economy and workforce.

Empire State Development is supporting the project with up to $500,000 through the Regional Council Capital Fund and up to $500,000 in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits, tied to job creation commitments.

The new facility significantly enhances Poly Craft's production capabilities, including expanded printing, lamination, and packaging operations, positioning the company to better serve customers while increasing efficiency and output.

Located in Orange County, the project contributes to the continued growth of the Hudson Valley as a hub for manufacturing and innovation. The region's strategic location, skilled workforce, and access to major markets have made it an increasingly attractive destination for companies looking to expand in New York State.
