Dominican National Pleads Guilty to Federal Fraud Charges

PROVIDENCE - A Dominican national pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court to fraud offenses, announced United States Attorney Charles C. Calenda. William Jose Alejandro Arias Amador, 45, a citizen of the Dominican Republic residing in Providence, pleaded guilty to false representation of a Social Security number, health care and wire fraud. Arias Amador was indicted by a federal grand jury on December 3, 2025. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 8, 2026. The sentence will be determined by a federal district judge after consideration of the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
