Gov. Beshear Makes Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2026) - Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has appointed William Craig Miller as Bracken County Judge/Executive.

• William Craig Miller of Augusta is a former Bracken County magistrate and president of the Miller Lumber Company. He replaces Tina Teegarden who has resigned.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Andrew Carter to the Louisville/Jefferson County Tourism and Convention Commission.

• Andrew Carter of Louisville is the general manager of 21C Louisville. He replaces David Greene, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 2, 2029.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Ken Lewis to the Northen Kentucky Convention Center Corporation Board of Directors.

• Ken Lewis is the founder and former CEO of New Riff Distilling in Newport, Kentucky. He will serve for a term expiring Sept. 7, 2030.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Kathleen Sheppard-Jones, Christian Motley and Kerry Harvey to the Public Advocacy Commission. The Governor has reappointed Allison Wiseman.

• Kathleen Shepard-Jones of Lexington is director emeritus and a researcher at the University of Kentucky Human Development Institute. She replaces Chynna Hibbitts, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2029.
• Christian Motley of Lexington is the senior vice president and chief program officer for Results for America. He replaces Daniel Goyette, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2029.
• Kerry Harvey of Lexington is retired. He replaces LaCosta Hays, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2030.
• Allison Wiseman of Prospect is a communications specialist with Feeding Kentucky. She will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2030.

Gov. Beshear has appointed John Garrity to the Equine Drug Research Council.

• Dr. John Garrity of Crestwood is a self-employed equine veterinarian. He replaces Bill Landes, who has resigned, and will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that expires Aug. 5, 2029.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Aneeta Bhatia, Tamella Cassis and William Thornbury to the State Board of Medical Licensure to serve for terms expiring Aug. 31, 2030.

• Dr. Aneeta Bhatia of Prospect is an anesthesiologist with UofL Health.
• Dr. Tamella Cassis of Prospect is a dermatologist with Cassis Dermatology and Aesthetics.
• Dr. William Thornbury of Glasgow is a self-employed family medicine doctor.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Kelly Hyberger to the Native American Heritage Commission. The Governor has designated Venus Evans as chair.

• Kelly Hyberger of Louisville is the director of curatorial affairs with the Filson Historical Society. She will serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2029.
• Venus Evans of Corbin is retired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Shena Link to the Kentucky Apprenticeship Council.

• Shena Link of Owensboro is the director of Kentucky Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust. She replaces Jennifer Lindon, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 2, 2030.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Eddie Campbell to the School Curriculum, Assessment and Accountability Council.

• Eddie Campbell of Frankfort is retired. He replaces Brenda McGown, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 2, 2028.
