- Catherine Jereza grew up in Beckley, West Virginia, the same hometown as Senator Justice.
- She currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the Undersecretary for Infrastructure at the U.S. Department of Energy.
- She is passionate about promoting affordable reliable and secure energy.
- Other nominees considered at today's hearing included Mr. William Doffermyre to be Solicitor of the Department of the Interior, and Mr. Kyle Haustveit to be an Assistant Secretary of Energy (Fossil Energy).
