On Dec. 12, the American Battle Monuments Commission welcomed U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Bill White, to Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery for a visit to honor American service members who fought and died during World War II. Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery Superintendent Carlos Gavilanes hosted the visit. The cemetery team was also present. White laid a wreath and toured the site, paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the liberation of Europe.
