UNRWA Commissioner-General on the West Bank: Over 1,000 Palestinians Killed Since October 2023

From Philippe Lazzarini, the UNRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account.

Over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 2023. Almost a quarter of the victims were children.

Rising violence by Israeli settlers and armed forces is accompanied and fueled by impunity.

Meanwhile, de facto annexation continues to accelerate as settlements expand.

The International Court of Justice has ruled that the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, is illegal and must cease.

International law applies to everyone, everywhere. There can be no exceptions.
