Acknowledging nature, reflecting on the rebirth of spring: Earth Month 2026 at GVSU

April marked the arrival of spring on Grand Valley's campus. Earth Day was April 22, but the whole month featured events and programs celebrating the planet.

Lakers learned about the human impact on our environment, found connections between art and nature and admired the flora and fauna that grace our campus.

The Sustainable Agriculture Project also came back to life in April, with volunteers beginning the work of preparing soil and planting seeds in the farm's hoop houses. The work will continue throughout the spring and summer, providing fresh produce for the community.
