Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver took part in the Vancouver Pride Parade 2026, joining the march with a Bangkok WorldPride 2030 banner and supporting members of the Thai community in Vancouver who participated in the event.
Thailand's participation in this year's Pride Parade not only underscores the country's commitment to human rights and the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ communities, but also serves to promote Thailand's bid to host WorldPride 2030 in Bangkok. Hosting WorldPride would further enhance Thailand's image as a nation that embraces diversity and plays a leading role in advancing human rights, while also highlighting the strength and quality of Thailand's tourism industry.
Thailand is the first country in Southeast Asia to enact marriage-equality legislation and continues to play a constructive and active role in promoting LGBTQIA+ human rights in international fora.
