Indianola Celebrates National Library Week: April 6-12, 2025

April 6-12, 2025, is National Library Week, and we're proud to celebrate and recognize the wonderful staff at our Indianola Public Library!

This year's theme is "Drawn to the Library," and whether they're recommending the perfect book, leading engaging programs, helping with technology or creating a welcoming space for everyone, our IPL team goes above and beyond every day. Their work inspires learning, fosters connection and ultimately helps make Indianola a better place.

On Tuesday, April 8, Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson read a proclamation at the Indianola Public Library alongside staff, declaring April 6-12 as National Library Week in Indianola. During National Library Week, we encourage everyone to:

  • Stop by and thank a library staff member in person.
  • Write a quick note of appreciation or share a positive story.
  • Spread the word about the amazing work happening at our library.

Thank you, IPL, for your service to our community! To learn more about the Indianola Public Library, please visit indianolaiowa.gov/library.
