DALLAS - Students at W.H. Adamson High School are making waves with the launch of a new adaptive swim initiative designed for students in Functional Living Skills and 18+ Transition programs. The program provides essential water safety skills while building confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging through athletics. With hands-on support from trained instructors, students are proving they are capable, competitive, and ready to thrive both in and out of the pool.

Elementary students celebrate big literacy gains
Nathan Adams Elementary School will host a Catch Up & Read event at 4 p.m., on Tuesday, May 12, celebrating student growth in literacy. The program is helping Dallas ISD students build confidence and strengthen foundational reading skills. The event highlights the impact of targeted instruction and the district's commitment to long-term academic success.
Bond community meeting
