Dakota State University crowned homecoming queen Camara Raap and king Mason Norberg at Dakota State's coronation ceremony.
"This week's homecoming is a great opportunity for us to celebrate the Dakota State University's history and invite alumni back to campus," said Mandy Hendrix, Director of Student Engagement and Leadership. "Crowning two students to reign over Trojan Days is one of university's longest traditions. The students that are voted to be on Homecoming Court represent some of our most engaged students on campus, and it's a great way to kick off the week."
Queen Camara Raap and King Mason NorbergCamara Raap is a senior, double majoring in cyber operations, and cyber leadership and intelligence with a specialization in digital forensics. From Watertown, South Dakota, Raap is president of the student activities board, co-chair for Nanocon, a resident assistant, and a member of Thread Bare and the YA Book Club.
Mason Norberg is a sophomore from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, majoring in computer science with a specialization in software engineering and a minor in mobile application development. An executive on the student activities board, Norberg is active in the planning of Nanocon, serves as a resident assistant at DSU, and works with the Governors Cyber Academy.
Both Raap and Norberg represented the Student Activities Board on this year's court.
Homecoming court members represent various clubs and organizations on campus and are elected by the student body.
