First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Lukashevich meets Ambassador of Iran

On March 2, 2026 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Lukashevich, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus, Alireza Sanei.

During the meeting, the parties paid particular attention to the situation in the Middle East.

The First Deputy Minister expressed sympathy regarding the numerous civilian casualties and conveyed the condolences of the Head of the Belarusian State, Aleksandr Lukashenko, in connection with the death of the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei.

Serious concern was reaffirmed regarding the events unfolding across the Middle Eastern region. The Belarusian side maintains that there is no alternative to resolving any kind of conflict except through exclusively political and diplomatic methods.
