AHAM Announces New Officers and Volunteer Leaders

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 27, 2026) -The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) announced the appointment ofKyran Hoff, Executive Director, Chief Engineer, GE Appliances, a Haier company, as Chairman of its Board of Directors, as well as other officers and members of the Board.

Hoff, who previous served as second vice chair, succeeds Dr. Dochul Choi, Senior Vice President of Global Business & Technology Strategy, Samsung Electronics Co., who will continue to serve on the Board as immediate past chair. Steve Polinski, Chief Product Safety Engineer and Regulatory Affairs Officer, Miele, Inc., was named first vice chair. TJ Stoffer, Senior Vice President of Sales, Electrolux North America, was appointed second vice chair; Alicia Cafferty, Vice President, Government Relations, BSH Home Appliances Corporation, will serve as treasurer. Officers serve a two-year term.

AHAM also announced the election of eight at-large directors for three-year terms. They are Rolando Cavazos, Division Vice President - Global New Product Development, Spectrum Brands; Guy Gagen, Head of External Affairs, Dyson Inc. United States; Rod Gower, General Manager/Managing Director, SMEG USA, Inc.; Joe Gryzb, Director of Sustainability, EFP LLC.; Erik Hendrickson, Vice President of Sales, Hisense USA Corporation; Tara Hudson, Vice President North America Commercial In-Home; Alliance Laundry Systems LLC; Justin Reinke, Head of Product Marketing, Midea America; and Eliza Sheffield, President, De'Longhi America.

Elected to fill a vacancy on the Board through 2028 was Richard Simone, Vice President, Product and Brand Marketing - Appliances & Television, Sharp Electronics Corporation USA. Christopher Jessup, Corporate Director of Supply Chain and Regulatory Compliance, Sub-Zero Group, Inc., was re-elected to the Board for a three-year term.

Continuing to serve on the AHAM Board of Directors are John Taylor, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs & Communications, LG Electronics USA, Inc. (second past chair), and Kyle De Jong, Senior Vice President - General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Whirlpool Corporation; Mark Zielinski, Vice President/General Manager Canada, Electrolux Major Appliances North America; and David Zak, Global Vice President, Research & Development, Newell Brands.
