Welcome to the LBPD Blotter!

As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department's homepage and on the "News" tab of the Department's website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

Here's a recap of incidents occurring last night:

  • No shootings or stabbings were reported.

Great work officers! Last night, officers safely recovered two firearms.

  • Traffic Stop - South Street and Atlantic Avenue: On Jan. 31, 2025 at about 10:27 p.m., patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a pocket bike in the area of South Street and Atlantic Avenue. During their investigation, officers discovered the driver was in possession of a concealed firearm. The gun was recovered, the driver was arrested, and the pocket bike was towed. The investigation is ongoing.

  • Traffic Stop - Cerritos Avenue and 56th Street: On Feb. 1, 2025 at about 4:33 a.m., patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Cerritos Avenue and 56th Street. During their investigation, they discovered the driver was in possession of a firearm. The gun was recovered, the driver was arrested, and the vehicle was towed. The investigation is ongoing.
