Chinese Consul General in Cape Town Ren Faqiang Attends Spring Festival Event Hosted by the China HK SA Friends Association

On March 1, Mr Ren Faqiang, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Cape Town, attended the Spring Festival celebration hosted by the China HK SA friends association upon invitation, where he also presented awards to outstanding students of the Association.

Consul General Ren stated that fellow compatriots of the Association have consistently cared for the development of their motherland while actively contributing to the local economy and society. In the new year, he expressed hope that the Association would continue to unite the hearts and strengths of the overseas Chinese community to further promote China-South Africa friendship. He reaffirmed that the Consulate General will remain committed to the principle of "Diplomacy for the People," providing sincere services and resolutely safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese citizens.

The event was filled with a festive and joyful atmosphere. Consul General Ren extended his Chinese New Year greetings to the guests, wishing everyone a vigorous and prosperous Year of the Fire Horse.
