I-24 Westbound off ramp and lane closure beginning at 8 p.m. Sept. 28
Motorists should be advised of a scheduled I-24 westbound Exit 81 off ramp closure tentatively beginning Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. until Monday Sept. 29 at 5 a.m. A TDOT contractor will be making the off ramp and lane closure preventing access off the interstate at this location to complete necessary road work.
Motorists who typically utilize the Exit 81 westbound off ramp onto Hwy 231/Church Street should use the Hwy 99 exit ramp for accessing the area Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Proper advance notice and traffic controls will be in place along I-24.
After the closure is complete, the motoring public can expect traffic pattern/signal changes at the newly revised intersection.
