Planning Commission to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Development Regulations
The final Capital Mall Triangle Subarea Plan was adopted by Olympia City Council on July 16. The subarea plan recommended several changes to the City's development regulations. An ordinance has been drafted that includes changes to building heights, establishes a new Affordable Housing Height Overlay area in the core of the subarea, and changes commercial parking minimums for restaurants, retail, offices, daycares, and shopping centers. It also addresses transportation impacts related to environmental review of development projects.
The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at or after 6:30 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2025, to receive public comments prior to making a recommendation to City Council.
