Wilmington - The Delaware Behavioral Health Consortium (BHC) is excited to welcome Katie Leibel-Marin as its Administrator. With extensive experience in strategic development, budget management, community engagement, and board management, Leibel-Marin joins the BHC at a pivotal point following the organization's reimagining under the leadership of Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay.
The BHC, an advisory body that comprises community advocates, health care professionals, educators, law enforcement personnel, and state leaders, strives to address Delaware's challenging and complex issues around behavioral and mental health. As Chair, Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay has worked diligently to ensure the BHC continues to pursue its goal to achieve healthier communities. Under her leadership the BHC has expanded its scope of work, partnered with government agencies and advocates, and now, added an administrator to drive forward its mission.
"This is a critical time for the BHC, as we work to expand our impact in communities across the state. I am confident in Katie's ability to support those efforts, collaborate with BHC members and meaningfully engage Delawareans, so that we can improve behavioral health outcomes in the First State," said Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay, BHC Chair.
"The BHC has such a vital role in leading our state's efforts in the behavioral and mental health space. As was clear throughout the interview process, Lt. Governor Gay, her staff, and members of the BHC are devoted to the work of the BHC, ensuring it truly makes a difference in the lives of Delawareans. I am grateful for the opportunity to help guide this work and help the BHC achieve ambitious and innovative goals," said Katie Leibel-Marin, BHC Administrator.
Leibel-Marin started as the BHC administrator on Monday, December 1 and is hitting the ground running, advancing the BHC's vision.
