Trevecca’s Fifth Annual Giving Day a Resounding Success

On its fifth annual Giving Day, Trevecca Nazarene University received more than $1 million from more than 1,000 financial partners.

Contributed during the one-day giving event on Thursday, April 10, the funds will provide resources to shape Trevecca's growing population of students into servant leaders with a strong educational and spiritual foundation.

"As one who sees the daily needs of a Christian university seeking to influence the next generation of Christ-followers in the workplace, the response on Giving Day by more than 1,000 friends was truly heart-warming," said Trevecca President Dan Boone. "The significant growth of our enrollment over the past two decades has outpaced our capacity to fund student experiences and financial aid. It's only through the generosity of friends that we can continue to be a strong university. Thank you!"

Funds raised this year will support key initiatives for the University in these areas, among others:

• Student scholarships
• A new athletic and event center
• A graduate-level leadership fund
• Ministry support for pastors and youth
• New library resources
• Improved broadcast and media equipment
• A food pantry for students
• Scholarships, projects and supplies for STEM and Health Sciences students
• Teacher education assistance
• Trevecca Urban Farm growth and sustainability
• Professional development for film and television students

To commence Giving Day this year, the second annual Trevecca Giving Day Gala Dinner was held on Friday, April 4. The gala, which included a silent auction, helped kick off the fundraising in preparation for the April 10 event.

Trevecca Vice President for University Engagement Peggy Cooning celebrated the way the University united in leadership, service and a belief in Trevecca's mission.

"It was exciting to see more than 1,000 Trevecca alumni, students, employees and friends come together and impact programs and scholarships with their gifts," Cooning said. "Truly, this is a glimpse of how the Trevecca community positively impacts the lives of others. Thank you for your generosity."

Giving Day 2025 resulted in $1,061,741 raised from 1,047 donors. The funds will assist and support more Trevecca students than ever before, thanks to record student enrollment in both the fall 2024 semester and the spring 2025 semester.
